How I Can Help You Sell a Home
Helping find a buyer for your home is only one facet of a real estate professional’s job. There are many more aspects including explaining the basic real estate practices and principles and all the related paperwork, Performing a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) to help determine your home’s value, helping to prepare your home for sale, listing your home, marketing your home, keeping you informed throughout the process. When the sale begins, it’s important to work with someone who will assist you with the paperwork, negotiate on your behalf, make sure deadlines are met, and work with the escrow company.
When listing your home:
- Curb appeal matters! Take the time to spruce up outside and make the entry attractive by adding potted plants and flowers.
- De-clutter, de-clutter, de-clutter!! Less is more. Buyers need to be able to visualize their own belongings in a home so get a storage room if you need one and pack the items you don't need.
- Keep kitchen counters relatively bare. A few items only.
- Take the time to do deferred maintenance on the home before it is listed for sale. If buyers see items that haven't been maintained they wonder what they can't see.
- A fresh coat of neutral interior paint goes a long way. Buyers do not want a long list of items they need to do before moving in.
- Listen to the professional (realtor). That's why you hire a realtor. I know the market (and it changes all the time).
- Be more likely to realize the highest return on the sale of your home
